Re: Making your own babyfood
I tried making some baby food. My best attempt was boiling sweet potato and putting it in an icecube tray, in the freezer. Pop one out at a time to defrost for baby.
Then, I realized that despite all my hard work, the kid did not like sweet potato. Actually, she did not like any baby food. Still eats like a bird.
I was also concerned about the preservatives, etc. in baby food. You can find better brands. When I was still trying to feed her baby food, I tried Gerber Organics or Earths Best. In the health food store, they sold frozen baby food whose ingredients listed nothing but sweet peas, or sweet potato, or whatever. It was pricey, but worth keeping on hand when you don't have the time or energy to prepare it yourself. There are alternatives to the regular Gerber stuff.
G'Luck.
