Let's be honest about that. You are aware that formula has no proven benefits over straight cow's milk, right? That a formula-fed baby suffers a lot of the same health risks (including an increased risk of death, of hospitalization) that a baby exposed to second-hand smoke does?
(Google "risks of formula"...)
I'm not clear on how messing with cans of stuff that has to be prepared and warmed, and bottles that have to be cleaned and so on, and having to tote all that junk around, is 'convenient,' but no mind.
I suppose you can say "I don't know that I have the ability to be a good mother to an infant, seeing as how providing one with optimal nutrition strikes me as a tad INCONVENIENT, and, y'know, like, I've got hang-ups" to your husband. I really don't know what else to tell you.

Oh wow! Can we say "harsh much?" Other than that, I'm speechless.
As far as the lady who started this thread. Of course you're not alone...but it is YOUR decision and choice. I do agree that if at all possible, you should use a breast pump so the baby will get the best nutrition, but as it's already been said. Today's formula is very advanced and can be almost as good. Some women's breastmilk isn't even all that nutritious or good for the baby cause they don't take care of themselves or are on medications that can pass to the baby. It is a case by case situation.
