i was breastfeeding on a plane,a woman across the aisle complained,i asked her if she could actually see anything offensive,as i had a shawl draped across my baby, covering the breast.she admitted she couldnt.that was the end of her complaint. its a matter of discretion,if you whip out a bare breast in a public place,it would be distastful to a lot of people.whereas if you are discreet, and make an effort to hide what is going on,then i dont think anyone has a right to object.after all a hungry baby cant wait.

i was asked once if i would kindly feed my son in the bathroom, and then i said excuse me do you know how germ filled that bathroom is, would you eat your lunch in there, and of course because i am naturally a loud person, security came over and asked me to leave the mall. I told him i would not because i was only feeding my son and he said he would arrest me if i didn't so for that time i did leave but came back 10 minutes later with a group of breastfeeding mom that i hung out with and we all breasfed our babies and no one said a word to us.

I HATE when I talk about natural child birth and or b-feeding and people go "Ew, I couldnt do that. Are you nuts? Your going drug free!?" Then they thing I'm going to die or something because I'm only having a mid wife and an at home labor. Uh, there is an ER 1.5 miles from us. And a mid wife still brings drugs and PIT with her.

Then when people say that b-feeding is gross, I say that "well, having a healthy child with good brain development is not gross....and its free....I'd rather feed my child FREE milk that I naturally produce than some store bought junk off the shelf" OR when people say "I wont b-feed because i heard that it hurts". Well that's just freaking selfish! If you are afraid of a little pain, than dont have kids please!

With my daughter, I had her in a wrap shopping at evil Wal-Mart and a lady came up to me and kept saying how adorable my daughter was sleeping in there , I kept telling her she's not sleeping, she's eating, and then she pulled the wrap back and got a eyefull of boob and was then upseat I was BF'ing her. I told her that I mentioned my daughter wasn't sleeping and that it is rude without asking to expose my breast like that , I have a feeling she never did that again, so no rude comment, but the look on her face was P-R-I-C-E-L-E-S-S.

WHAT?? I don't care if someone breastfeeds in public, I just don't want to see it. If someone told me they were feeding thier child I would NOT remove the blanket and then complain about it!! How rude!

That's awesome. I'm definitely planning on breast feeding and really am not looking forward to how ridiculously uptight people are about it in the U.S. I was in Ecuador for 2 1/2 years and people would look at bottle-feeders weird. It was completely commonplace and acceptable to have breasts fully exposed in any public location in the event of breast feeding. No one would even look or think twice about it. A friend of mine even got milk accidentally squirted on him and everyone around him just laughed. No apology. The attitude is just to suck it all up. It's the natural process. While I'm not suggesting that we should just squirt milk all over strangers without apologizing, many people's attitudes still need to be improved. It's like by advancing our society we've gone backwards or something... (at least in some ways)

I was at a restaurant and bfing my son. The waitress came up and told me to stop. I told her its illegal for her to tell me to stop because California state law says that women are allowed to bf their children in any public place. She told me it was her restaurant. I told her I'd get it shut down. She told me no I wouldn't. I told her to fuck off.
She left me alone after that.
