Obviously alot of people forgot to see what the AAP(American Pediatric Association) says about breastfeeding: you can ask your pediatrician for a newborn breastfeeding pamphlet or google the AAP and search their website for breastfeeding. You can find this information there.
According to the AAP, in order to get the full benefits that breastfeeding offers, you have to nurse at least the first 2 years of your child's life.

The benefits of breastfeeding outweigh any disadvantages (the only ones I am aware of is drug & alcohol can be transferred through breast milk- if you're using them)
It is the preferred method for feeding your baby by doctors & prediatricians.
I am so sick of people being judgemental about a woman's personal choice of how long to breastfeed.
I wouldn't listen to what people "advise"- just go with what you think is right & what you're pediatrician would recommend for your babies & toddler's nutritional needs.
Breastfeeding is natural and the functional reason for why women's breast produce milk after birth.
