Default breastfeeding with implants and a lift

I breastfed all three of my other children but after my third I had a breast lift and augmentation. I am wondering if anyone has had this done and been sucessful at breastfeeding? I know there is a chance I might not be able to and I am nervous about it. thanks!

The main thing I would worry about with the implants is if your mammary glands were messed with during the procedure. You might want to ask the doctor that did the surgery.

well the implants are behind the muscle, so it is more the lift I am worried about because they resized the nipple, moved it up I have cut all the way around the nipple, down the middle of my breast and across the bottom of my breast so I am worried about whether or not they cut any milk ducts. ugh. I guess the true test will just be to try breast feeding and see what happens. I probably should call the surgeon and see what I can find out.

Really? I didn't know implants went behind the muscle..but that does sound like quite the job they did on your boobs. Hopefully they didn't damage anything, but sounds like a good plan you got of just trying to see how it goes. Good luck!!

well it depends on your surgeon they can place them on top of the muscle or below, but I think below is better because they have more support and they say it decreases the chance of capsular contracture, but who really knows I guess. I guess I am just gonna give it a try and see what happens.
