Default I'm having a baby shower and need ideas for food.?

Its going to be a appetizer/dessert style. I have no theme but its going to be very colourful and pretty and kinda almost exotic. We are giving away fudge in take out boxes as favours. And I wanted to make all differetn syle cupcakes or something else..I'm not sure. Does anyone know any cool ideas for foods...such as dessert os appetizers...something fairly easy though....

Ok, well just some ideas....I had 3 baby showers and this is what I had at mine.
At the first shower, I had the same style you did (appetizer and dessert).....We had meatballs in a gravy, small peanut butter & jelly sandwiches (my request), a pasta salad, a veggie tray, fruit basket, tuna salad, chips and dip, small eggrolls..We had a HUGE variety. And for dessert we had, a big cake, cupcakes, small cheesecake cups, and other sweets such as frosted brownies and baby footprint sugar cookies. For another shower of mine, we had a full hot meal, lasagne, chicken fettucine alfredo, spaghetti, garlic bread, and salad. For dessert, we had a three tier cake that looked like a baby woven carriage. (It was real cute.) And at the last shower, we had another hot meal. Tamales, enchiladas, rice, beans, tostadas. For dessert, another huge cake. Everybody had a blast. A few treats I suggest would be chocolate covered starwberries, maybe rice krispie treats, pralines, fudge, a fruit torte. Just remember to do whatever is to your liking. Dont worry about what others will think or say. If you want and you crave it, get it and serve it. Most importantly, have fun! Congrats!

You can do chocolate covered strawberries and on put icing on them that makes it look like it has a diper on..i saw that at a wedding with tux's on and it was adorable. For the cupcakes you can put blue and pink icing on them and make a game out of ... telling people that if htey think its a boy to pick up the blue one and if its a girl to pick up the pink one...after there done picking...ask everyone to tell you why and pick a name that they like.
Idk just some ideas

Martha Stewart's Baby Shower section is full of ideas... including some really cute cupcakes and cakes. Usually fairly easy to do.

make jello and put fruits in it. cheap, good for you, and it looks cute.
