Is it a bad idea to start breastfeeding at 6 months if all she's had up to now
is formula - super healthy baby My baby is in excellent health and of normal weight for her 6 months as I was told by her pediatrician. She's never been sick at all and I am thinking about starting her on solids soon (I'll probably start her off with rice cereal for babies). But I'm thinking of holding off on the solids for a little bit and maybe thinking of trying to breast feed her because some people have been telling me that I've just been lucky my baby hasn't gotten sick since I never have breast fed her, and only given her formula from day 1. (reason I never did breast feed her is because my milk didn't come in till several days after she had been born and the times when I attempted to breast feed, she didn't ever latch on, so I continued giving her formula. She drinks Enfamil Gentlease formula). Should I try and start to breast feed her at this point or should I just continue to formula feed her and try and start her on the solids, the rice cereal? I don't even know if I will still produce milk tho.
