Default Baby foods?

My daughter won't eat any baby foods that has meat in it. I don't know what the deal is. Is this normal? I'm feeding her 2nd foods. She's getting ready to turn 1 this month. Help!

My kids were like that too, I think it's the texture, or too hard to chew. Beef especially. Try grinding or puree it and adding it to pasta sauce... that worked for me. They couldn't taste it and didn't need to be chewed.

Have you tried offering her real food? Most toddlers start refusing baby foods at 9 months or earlier, they are disgusting.

Just share your meals with her, and you might find she happily eats a wide variety of foods.

No need to worry. That's typical. Check with your doctor or nutritionist about quinoa and whether it's safe for your daughter. I was told it's a complete protein, but it's a grain - cooks up much like rice or couscous. Last night I cooked some up using veggie broth, and my employer told me it's ok for her almost 9 month old. The other thing, since she's about to be 1, ask about yogurt and/or cottage cheese. If dairy is out of the question, there is soy yogurt, etc.

Good luck.

Some times if you give them the sweet things first they tend not to go for the other stuff.

I have hated meat all 32 years of my life and I am still kicking! My daughter loves bean soup...the 15 bean kind. Cook it really well so it is mushy.

totally normal. Took my son until about 2 years to eat some meats. I had to find other proteins instead.

Maybe your daughter is a vegetarian! Seriously. I don't believe we live only one lifetime and maybe this is who you've born into the world. No worries, there are millions of them in the world. She'll live.

Here's a link, though there's a ton of info out there... just google it!

My kids didn't really like them either. Have you ever smelled that stuff?? Make her some goulash with burger in it. Chop up chicken and tuna and see if she likes what you make at home. Good luck
