Default Where can we buy large amounts of baby food jars (carrots, potatoes, beef jars,

etc) in the US? This might be a silly question, but the jars you get at Safeway are really small, not comparable to the ones we got back in Germany (and more expensive, too). We might be missing the name of the right store to shop for baby food in the US.... we live in CA, near Sunnyvale.

Go to google.com, and put in " Wholesale food stores" for your area. They sell everything in bulk, so you will get more food for the buck then buying individually in other super markets. I don't think they make the jars here any bigger then recommended for the child's stages. Some of the stores that sell in bulk around where I live are BJ's, Costco, Sam's Club. They might have the same names or different where you live. Good Luck in your search.

Try Costco or Sams Club, you need to get a membership to shop at either store though. I did notice that at Ralph's in Newport Beach and Target in Tustin, they sell cases of baby food in variety packs.

A cheap inexpensive way to get large amounts of babyfood is to make it yourself. By a food processor from target or walmart, which are only like $20 to $30 dollars then make your own food and puree it in the food process then buy lots of freezer/microwave tubberware and save it to feed the baby.

Also, just so you know Safe way is one of the more expensive stores to shop at unless they have sales going on. I never shop there unless they have specific things on sale I want. I've never been to sunnyvale, but stores such as pak 'n save, grocery outles, and other warehouse stores are the cheapest to shop at.

I checked on google and there is a pak 'n save (which is a warehouse store where you don't need a membership card). This store is much cheaper then safeway.

Pak'n Save (408) 720-0244
762 Sunnyvale Saratga Rd, Sunnyvale, CA 94087

This is the address.

Try wal-mart or Costco. They usually sell in bulk. If Safeway doesn't have the size you want, ask them. Talk to the manager or supervisor over that area. They may be able to order in larger jar sizes if they know someone would buy them. Good Luck.

Nope probably US consumers are just getting screwed.

Babyfood comes in one standard size for baby, and one standard size for toddlers.
