I had an ovarian tumor and three surgeries and have had lots of medical problems within the last year which has caused severe financial difficulties. We do not qualify for WIC, I have to formula-feed for medical reasons, and I don't have family to help me.

Money is extremely tight right now, I am giving birth to a baby boy in 9 weeks, and we can use all the help we can get. We don't have anything for our baby. I agree that the FRG can help you. The FRG leader will probably send you to the ACS office. I'm not sure what post you're near, but if you're near Ft Knox, I can come to the house to wash cloth diapers. I can also sew some up for you--my mom has a ton of fabric that she would love me to use (so she can buy more). I totally love cloth diapers, and not just because they're cheap. If you want me to sew cloth diapers, email me through this forum and I will get started and send them to you.

I would also urge you to find a La Leche League leader or lactation consultant because most physicians don't really know whether you can breastfeed or not, so they just push formula. Unless you have mo mammary glands, HIV/AIDS or hepatitis, you can probably breastfeed, even if you have to supplement with a supplementer. The supplementer delivers formula while baby is breastfeeding, which allows your breasts to do most of the work while only using a little bit of formula.

Well, if you are indeed a military wife, then you need to contact your FRG and get them involved. That is what they are there for. Look to your husband's command for help also.
