My son was 4 months old when we started him on baby food. It took several tries before he got the hand of eating with a spoon, but once he started, he's like a little vaccuum cleaner. He's eight months old now, and eats a full jar of stage 2 food plus 3-4 ounces of formula.

I started giving my baby baby food at 2 months. I started by giving her a vegatable a week to see if she was allergic but after that I started mixing the vegatables with fruit like bannana, applesause,etc. At first she would push the spoon out but after like three weeks she eats like a pro :-) the only thing I give her from the jar is the fruits. I always make her the baby food from home because like that I know whats going inside her tummy.
