The easiest baby food is just to steam and puree in a blender the fruits and vegetables of your choice. You can freeze them in icecube trays for use later. When your baby is older, you can take your regular dinner, put a bit of each dish in a mini food chopper ($10) with some milk and voila! Instant stage two dinners! I haven't bought baby food since my first was little, and have five happy, healthy children. (And I always feel a little bad for the poor moms in the baby food aisle at the supermarket.)
