At 8mnt old, are babys more hungry?Stage 3 baby gerber food? When should I start?

My daughter is 8month and im just wondering, when should I start stage 3 baby food. *1teeth*
Should I feed her the whole stage 3 jar? or 1/2?
also, can she start finger food? what kind?
