The baby is too attached to that bottle. If it worries you to deprive her of it, you could put broth inside the bottle as a food supplement. Also, try giving the baby finger food because sooner or later she/he will put it into it's mouth, and plan to try giving the baby food before or after the bottle. It helps to keep trying.

Relax, take your time with this as the transition can take a while for some kids. How old is your baby? Some kids like solids as young as 4 months, but some take to solids later, around 6 months. Remember that part of the issue can be sensory (i.e. getting used to the texture of solid food) as well as "emotional"--that bottle feeding is associated with love and comfort. So, make sure that you involve some cuddling and attention before you try to feed her, and give her some extra cuddling during the transition time.

One strategy is to try mixing some cereal into her bottle for a while to get her used to the taste of cereal. When you want to feed her some food with a spoon, don't do it "cold turkey" for her! First give her a little formula from a bottle and then give her a little bit of cereal mixed with the formula you feed her. Use a little rubber spoon and give her some tastes.

Read a couple of the articles below for some more ideas.

Hope this helps. Hang in there, she will make the transition in time!!
