Default Feeling secure.

Hi everyone, I introduced myself in the welcome thread, but I'll introduce myself again. My name is Tabatha, most people call me Tabs. I am 5-6 weeks pregnant and feeling every symptom possible. I've been to my first appt with the nurse/midwife and so far everything is good. I had some spotting episode last week, but after a trip to ER, they said everything is fine and to take it easy and watch my BHCG. I work in the hospital lab, so its difficult to restrain myself from testing my levels daily LOL. So far my numbers are still climbing steady and everything looks up and my body feels very secure. I've had one miscarriage already and comparing the two pregancies, I've realized that the previous pregnancy I lost, didn't feel right. I don't know how to describe it.
Anyways, I discovered that I was pregnant on Monday, April 14th when I had my co-worker run my blood BHCG. I wasn't showing up on urine pregnancy tests. My numbers were really low (35). I was going to wait and retest on friday the 18th. Wednesday around 11:30 pm I started having pink spotting. I was upset & tried to calm down and went to bed. When I woke up Thursday the 17th, it had stopped. I felt a ton better. Then right before my work shift at 3pm, I started having bright red spotting. It was an extremely light flow but I went to ER. At ER, I told them about my numbers on monday at 35 and they tested my BHCG again and it had gone up to 144, so I wasn't having a miscarriage. Thursday night the spotting stopped and I haven't had any spotting since. My co-workers tested me again on friday to make sure it was continuing to go up and Friday the 18th my BHCG was 255. I made it through the weekend with my fiances birthday party, and all my nausia, swollen feet & boobs, and heartburn. Monday the 21st we had our first office visit with the midwife. We see her again on may 6th. We also get the first ultrasound that day and get to hear the babys heart beat. We're pretty excited. I had my blood run again with the midwifes order on Tuesday and my BHCG was at 2420! Its still climbing and its right where its suppose to be.
We're due Dec 17th which is oddly the same day my grandfather passed away. I am taking it as a sign my grandfather is watching over this baby.
Is anyone else due in december with their first baby?
