I'm so excited!!
Not sure how my bf feels. He is on his way to Afghanistan, and I don't really get to talk to him much. When I told him all he could say is "WOW!!"
I know it's a lot for him to take in, especially since he has got a lot to think about with deployment and all, and then when he gets back he will be a daddy!

I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions on a good book that has helped them through pregnancy or thier first years.

I don't really know how this will all work out, but this is life and it is full of surprises

Great Expectations by Sandy Jones and Marcie Jones. This is my first pregnancy and honestly, its the best book I have found yet. It has everything in it from a week by week growth section to what baby products you need as opposed to the ones you can do without. It has tons of answers to my questions and I've found it very helpful.

My heart goes out to you, I am also pregnent and my husband is getting ready to leave on a deployment as well. Luckily he will only be gone for 4 months and will be back in time for the delivery. I don't have any book recommendations because I'm still waiting for mine to get shipped but I will keep you updated on anything I find helpful. Congratulations! No book recommendations yet, but I am addicted to American Pregnancy Association : Promoting Pregnancy and Reproductive Wellness. It's fantastic. It outlines everything for you.

Congrats! I wouldn't be too surprised if he remains in shock a little while longer heh. Sydney's daddy is stationed in Japan and yea....let's just say he was surprised

I am partial to Jenny McCarthy and love the books "Belly Laughs" and "Life Laughs" its very forthright and no beating around the bush.

"Your Pregnancy & Birth" By: The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists

This is a wonderful book to help you, infact my OB gave it to me at my first prenatal appt.

There are many wonderful books out there to help you along your 40 wonderful weeks of pregnancy, but this is on that I recomend

I love "The Girlfriend's Guide to Pregnancy: Everything Your Doctor Won't Tell You" by Vicki Iovine. It is hilarious- I laugh out loud when I am reading it.
