Default Pregnant for the first time . . .

Hey everyone! Well a couple of days ago I woke up and my boobs were extremely sore...like they are a fews day before my period...however I wasn't expecting my period for about 2.5 more weeks. And for about two weeks I've been spotting...not much, but I've never spotted in my life. The same day my boobs were hurting my stomach was cramping. Then the idea of me possibly being pregnant popped into my head and decided to get a pregnancy test. I hadn't really missed a period yet...my last period was lighter then usual and didn't last as long...I heard sometimes that could happen...so I decided to try and take an at home test anyway...I bought two and they were both positive...my boyfriend and I are extremely excited about this...but I told him not to get too excited just in I had a miscarriage or something. So I'm really paranoid about a miscarriage...especially since I'm still spotting! I heard spotting is normal...but how long can it carry on before the spotting is not normal any more? I just took the tests today and I plan on calling and making the doctors appointment tomorrow. Thanks everyone! I have never been pregnant in my life, so I'm sure I'll have many more questions!

congrats on your pregnancy! As for the spotting, it can last anywhere from a day to a week or so. You should definitely call your doctor so you can make sure everything is okay. Your doctor should always be notified if your spotting, regardless of how long you've been spotting. It is normal to spot in pregnancy, but your doctor should know it's happening. Keep us posted and let us know when you are due! Congrats again!

Thanks! Yeah I was going to say something to the doctor about it, but I was just wanting to put my mind at ease until the appointment...but I guess everyone's body is different!

As far as the spotting goes, I had spotting for two weeks, like my normal period and then for a little while after as well. I was a little worried so when my doc did an exam she notice that I was bleeding from my cervix and not my uterus. She still scheduled me for an ultrasound and thats not until august 8th. So I wont be def sure that everything is fine until then but my doc said that my cervix were a little eroded and that was most likely the cause for the bleeding which has nothing to do with the baby. But I would go to the doc and get it checked out but spotting is perfectly normal. Unless your bleeding ALOT I wouldn't get too upset just yet.
