DIY Laundry Detergent | How Does She...

Super easy, would be great on baby clothes/all clothes and did you see how much it costs per year?!

Oh man now I want to do this and I think my mother in law would be all for it to save money but I could see my father in law being a pain in the rear about it because we have an he machine.

There's a gal at church who sells this stuff. It works pretty good on lightly soiled clothes but does not work on DH's work clothes.. or any of his clothes for that matter. He sweats like a pig and his B.O. STINKS SO BAD and the detergent just doesn't get the smell out I had to wash everything twice the first time.

I still have it and use it on my stuff, and will probably use it on baby stuff but when I run out I won't buy anymore..... What was nice though is she sells it for $25 for 5 gallons!!! That was a great deal.

I didn't look at the link but I've made my own and I really enjoyed making it because it was sooo easy and sooo cheap. BUT we were missing the great scents from the store bought stuff so we bought a gallon recently. I added a cap full to my stuff though so when we run out of the store bought stuff I'll try mine again and see if that cap full made it smell good too.

I so want to try this!! I keep hearing of different people trying this and I think it would be great to cut down on the price of detergent. DS doesn't have sensitive skin, but DH does, I wonder if this would be okay for his gentle skin.

Eep I got the go ahead to try this my mother in law was even interested enough to want me to look up other diy things to save money so now I'm joining pintrest lol

We make all of our own laundry detergent and dishwasher detergent. I seriously could not tell you the last time we bought either at the store. At least a year ago. It has been a HUGE $ saver for us!!

Also, we do have an he machine, there are recipes that are he safe. Also, if you are looking for a scent you can add some essential oils to your batch. Lavender is my fav. It is great for people with sensitive skin too. Some people also find that a powder detergent works better if they have really heavily soiled clothing.
