Question Is this normal?

I've been feeling symptoms of pregnancy for the past month or so, swollen breasts, nausea, belly activity. I haven't gotten a positive reading with a home pregnancy test yet, and I did have a monthly bleeding, though it was lighter and shorter than normal.

Last night I started having some pain in my left ovary, and I'm concerned that it might be an ovarian pregnancy. Is that sort of pain another normal symptom of pregnancy? I have an appointment with an OBGYN in a week, but if it could be something serious I don't know if I should get it checked out sooner. The pain is not as bad today, but just very mild.

I've read it could be a cyst too, and I'm wondering if that might be causing pregnancy symptoms.

Well you would probably be feeling much worse pain by now if it was a tubal pregnancy, you should probably go to the dr just to be safe though. Your mind can play tricks on you with pregnancy symptoms especially if you are really wanting a baby! Last november I thought I was pregnant too, had tons of symptoms but turns out I wasnt. We did concieve in December though.

I would say go to your Gyn and have it checked out. I went through the same thing a couple months ago, getting very bad cramps when I was not supposed to have them, and it turned out to be an ovarian cyst. It still should be checked out, though, because other things can be on your ovaries and make them painful. They were all big long medical terms that I can't remember now, but if ignored they can permanently damage your ovaries. I'm not trying to scare you or anything, I hope that it's just nothing, I'm only sharing my experience and trying to give you some advice. Best of luck!

I would definitely get it checked out. I had an ectopic pregnancy about a year and a half ago. I went in for pain that felt like it was on my ovary, they did a ultrasound and told me it was a cyst, then after a urine test they told me I was pregnant and couldn't do anything about the cyst. They sent me home and four days later my fallopian tube burst and I had to have emergency surgery. It was a very frustrating ordeal especially because they did an ultrasound and test and couldn't figure out what it was. I should mention that the pain started off mild and would come and go. I turns out I was a whole month further than they had thought. Don't let something like that go without being checked. For weeks I had a feeling something wasn't right. I hope this helps, it's so scary when your not sure if something is wrong! Good luck and I hope everything goes good for you!

Thanks for the advice and information! The pain has gone away, but I still feel some belly activity, and continue to have pregnancy symptoms (such as being nauseous). I have an appointment with an OBGYN tomorrow morning, so hopefully I can get some answers.

belly activity is not an early sign of pregnancy.

you don't start to feel any belly activity, other than bloating, until you are much further along.
