Default Confusing pregnancy test results

My last period started on August 10th. For the month of July, I was on birth control for most of 1 cycle. I left my pills at a friend's house out-of-town and didn't take the last couple of active pills.

Needless to say, my period came several days early due to the missed-pills.

Before I was on my pill, my cycle was very regular 27-29 days always. I've never in my life missed a period.

Based on a normal cycle of 28 days (if my cycle went back to normal), I estimated ovulation around the 23rd (give or take a day) of August. On the 21st, my partner and I had unprotected sex.

If my calcuations are correct about my cycle, today (if I was pregnant) I would be 13dpo.

Yesterday morning, I took a first response early pregnancy test and there was a super faint 2nd line. I almost though I was seeing things. Later that day I bought a 2nd brand of tests and took that evening a Clear Blue Digital pregnancy test, which was negative.

This morning I took both the First Response test and a Clear Blue Digital test, the first response test showed only 1 line (son not pregnant) and the Clear Blue Digital Test had a BFP and had in typed letters PREGNANT.

At noon today I went to my obgyn office to get another urine test (they refuse to do blood tests right now), and the test was negative.

Does anyone have any advice? This situation is so confusing. Could I be pregnant?

I don't expect my period for another 2-3 days.

Any comments or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Well, any line means you're pregnant because there are no false positives. I'd schedule a blood test.

I didn't get a faint line until I was 3 days past my period. Like the previous person said a faint line means pregnant. Wait until you miss your period and than retest. Please let us know what you find out.

False positives are rare but are possible. A faint line (as long as it was seen within the time frame the test instructions give) is still a line. HCG levels are highest in the morning so the test at the doc's in the afternoon might have been negative because your levels weren't high enough to register. Wait a couple of days and then retest using first morning pee.

Why do people post a question but don't keep us updated on these forums. That's what I don't like about most of these forums.
Anyway, I know it's been a few days since you posted this question, you haven't reposted to let us know what you've done since. But my suggestion would be to wait till after your period is due to test. This may be more difficult as you recently stopped taking birth control. You will probably experience irregular periods for awhile anyway.
Though false positives are possible, they are very rare. If you get one, and especially more than one, be sure to have further tests done as there may be something even if it's not a baby. I had gotten a few very faint positives as well as a negative or two back in January. I went to the OB/GYN and had a sonogram done which showed an empty gestational sac. The doctor rescheduled for another sonogram in a weeks time and again it showed an empty gestational sac. I had experienced a blighted ovum and had to have a D&C.
