Default No sac seen

I had an us done yesterday and they could not see the sac. I was 5 weeks and 6 days. Have any of you been in the situtation where the sac was not seen, but later was found?

I personally havent but I have heard of that happening, that is still pretty early and it is possible for you not to see the sac. They should repeat the sono in a week or so

This has happened to me. I was never rescheduled for an ultrasound and was told I was NOT pregnant even though a home preg. test AND a blood test at the dr. confirmed it.

Around 16 weeks, I had to go in to the ER for a D&C otherwise I would have hemorraged and died. I don't know what happened to the fetus, maybe it stopped growing? But, my body was trying to get rid of it months later, I was having all the symptoms of being pregnant, and I passed a large clot...so who knows.

sometimes it happens if your dates are off a little. 5 weeks is pretty early. They can reschedule the u/s in a couple of weeks to see if things are progressing.

If a test has confirmed a positive pregnancy and you see nothing in your first ultrasound, make sure the doctor checked for an ectopic pregnancy. If that shows nothing, INSIST on another within a week or so.
