So I have been on the Nuva Ring for several months and have been using it to skip periods. I had been leaving it in for three and then replacing it with a new one, but then I read it was effective for four weeks, so this last go around, I left it in for 32 days total. On the 28th day (This past Saturday, August 30th) I took the Ring out for sex, and like an idiot fell asleep - so it was out for 6 hours total. I immediately put it back in. Then on the 32 day (Wednesday) I replaced it with a new one. That same day I started getting a weird brown discharge. It is very light - not even needing a panty liner, it mainly see a little bit of it when I am cleaning. This is the third day of the light brown spotting. Does this confirm that I am not pregnant? I called my Gyno (whom I am not a big fan of), and all he told me was to take a test in two weeks. Do you think its just break through bleeding from the Nuva Ring? I should mention that I have never had break through bleeding on the ring. To top it off I have been absolutely exhausted this week and cry easy for no reason. (could be stress though) And wouldn't it be too early to have those symptoms anyway? Although if it really is only effective for three weeks, I guess I could have technically conceived before Saturday. I am so confused! Anyone who could share insight from similar experiences would be much appreciated!
