Default Pcos

Hi,
Can anybody share any experiences of conceiving with PCOS?
I haven't had a period since 13th July, at the start of September I was diagnosed as having a missed miscarriage but I was back at the docs yesterday but I still haven't bled yet and he suggested testing for PCOS, he took bloods but I prob won't have the results for about 2 weeks!!

Does anybody here have PCOS but manage to conceive?

xXx

I have PCOS and I am currently 5 1/2 months pregnant. The first time pregnant, I carried to 8 weeks and miscarried. Then second time (this time) that I got pregnant, we tried Progestin to help me through the 1st trimester. In order to conceive, I was using Metformin to help regulate my cycle and ovulation. I saw an endocronologist to assist me in this process and things worked out well!

I have PCOS as well. I remember the day I found out that I had PCOS, I cried and cried and cried. I read the statistics about miscarriage and created myself my very own pity party.

I'm currently 6 months pregnant. This is my first pregnancy, and it happened unexpectedly while on the pill. I didn't even know I was pregnant until month 4 when I was randomly tested for a pee test. Of course, it's hard when you never get your period to assume you're pregnant! I was completely shocked.

Just remember that PCOS isn't the end for your pregnancy dreams. It is very much possible.

I'm sorry I don't personally have any experience. My cousin has PCOS and she had her first child with no medications. She used fertility meds though to conceive two more children. So as someone else had said, it's not the end of your baby making days. Keep your chin up.

Hey!

I was diagnosed with PCOS a couple years ago.. I started on medication called metformin.. it's a pretty common medicine to regulate your cycles.. I would go 6 months or more without a period. The stomach upset was worth it because after 6 months of taking metformin I became pregnant with our first baby.. I'm only 6 weeks but I didn't think it could happen. It can! Good luck to you!
