I am 2 days overdue and had my membranes swept yesterday by my midwife. (What an experience! lol)
She said a little show was normal, and would likely occur after the sweep. So last night there was a bit of show and voila, nothing afterwards.
Today there is a bit more. Initially I thought it was just some left over blood from the sweep but now I'm beginning to think it could have been the mucous plug?
So, sorry if this is too much information, but I was just wondering how the heck I can decipher what it was!

It was like a glob of brown/red mucous, I guess is how I would explain it. Afterwards it looked kind of like smaller, not globs, but chunks maybe? It was very weird and nothing like I've ever seen.

I really don't want to get too excited at this point ... but can someone help me out? It's my first baby so I know nothing! Or that's what it feels like sometimes. I'm also having a bit of backpain, a little tiny bit more intense than the usual ache but maybe this also has to do with the loss of plug? I don't know ..... if someone could help that would be AWESOME!
