Default Movement.

My last midwife appointment she told me to drink something cold to wake up the baby, lay down and you should feel 6 movements in 2 hours. She said that is average... I can't feel that much movement, should I be worried? Has anyone ever had a baby that wasn't so active during pregnancy? I'm 36 weeks, her head is down and I do have a big placenta, could this by why I'm not feeling so much movement?

possibly. starting at about 36 weeks my daughter moved far less. it worried me because I got used to feeling her very active throughout. it seems to me that as they grow bigger, it's tighter in there, and they seem to just sleep alot.
I used to shake my belly a little, drink something cold..and nothing seemed to help increase the movement much. The only relief I got that she was ok, was when I was laying down on my side, and I would turn over I would feel her adjusting, kinda rolling over in there a bit and I knew she was ok. The doppler heartbeat @ the weekly appts after between 36-40wks were very reassuring. I knew she was ok..just not moving a whole lot
