Default Ovulation..fertilization..help!

Hey,

I'm new to this forum so here's a mini intro!
I'm 21 years old and am in my Junior year at a University. I've been dating my SO for over three years and we are very happy together. We're not trying but not preventing.

My last AF was 10/24 with a 28-30 day cycle. Well last night we DTD without pulling out twice. If I ovulated Friday there would be little chance of ovulation because eggs only survive for 24 hours, correct? And if I ovulated Saturday or Sunday there is a larger chance of fertilization?

I'm just looking for opinions on the chance I could have conceived yesterday with my cycle.

Thank you!

Theres still a chance, i mean people dont really know right when the ovulate usually so you could have ovulated On Sunday. Theres a chance you could have concieved but then again even if you do everything right and use ovulation predictors, temping etc your chaces are only like 25 percent that you will be become pg in any cycle.

Um..there is always a chance of pregnancy with no protection. An Egg lasts a full cycle, till your period. Sperm lasts 24 to 48 hours. So there is a chance you could get pregnant.

Yes, I know you can get pregnant without protection. My concerns were how likley it is to become pregnant the closer you are to your ovulation date...

Also, I think you are rather misinformed about how long an egg lasts and sperm live.

"Research has shown that some sperm may survive in the Fallopian tubes up to 7 days, with the average amount of time being 3 to 4 days." Of course this is in "best" conditions, but they can survive longer than just 24 hours. In the vagina, however, sperm do not live as long. So maybe that's what you were thinking.

To be honest, I have never heard someone say an egg lasts a full cycle. I read eggs only live for ~24 hours and have a window of 12-24 hours after ovulation. I guess you didn't really read my post right...

Hi there your right an egg does not stay fertile the whole time. But yeah sperm can live for awhile, it just depends on the sperm and the envoroment its in. But like i said b4 you have a chance for sure.
