Anyone feel as bad as I do?
Hello!
I am 11 weeks along now and I am just wondering if anyone out there feels as awful as I do? Every day for the past 3 months I have a headache as soon as I wake up in the morning which gets progressively worse as the day goes on. By 7pm I'm laying on the couch w/ an ice pack on my head (which helps 2%) b/c my head is absolutely killing me. I am nauseous all day, constipated, and my breasts are huge and sore. I don't fit in my clothes- even tho I've only gained 3lbs. -- and worst of all, my relationship w/ my husband is really suffering. Because I feel sick all the time, he stays away from me- to give me room to breath and be comfortable and b/c I probably just got sick in the bathroom. I'm so depressed. I have a friend who is also pregnant and she is not going thru any of this. I'm jealous of all the pregnant women out there glowing from their pregnancy. I thought it would be so different. Now, some of this I expected...the nausea, breast soreness...but the daily headaches are debilitating.
Please, someone tell me they went thru this and it gets better!

Re: Anyone feel as bad as I do?
With my daughter, I felt horriable. If I wasn't in the bathroom six "sick" more than 6 times a day, it was a good day, and this lasted into labor and until I pushed her out. Constant headaches from lack of eating and dehydration because I couldn't keep anything down and just laid on the couch feeling miserable all day long. This pregnancy has been different, though I still have MS that can pop up any time of the day, and the headaches are still there it's not as bad as the last time, most days I don't want to leave the house and still have my daughter who is now 3 and in multiple thearpies to take care of, so have to grudge through it. Every pregnancy and everyone's body is effected differntly, I'm at 16 weeks now and still not showing and have gained back 5 lbs of the 7lbs I lost in my 1st trimester, so all my clothes still fit and everything just looks "misplaced" so I'm not showing, just look chubbier than normal.
I have 3 girlfriends that are pregnant aswell (2 are within a couple of weeks of me), one is glowing and happy and wearing maternity clothes, one started wearing maternity clothes in her 1st trimester and is irratable and the 3rd just found out a week ago she's expecting and she's easy to agitate (but we still love her).

It's unfortunate pregnancy can be so uncomfortable sometimes- but it is nice to know that i'm not alone.

Re: Anyone feel as bad as I do?
Every day I feel like I have the flu but I dont. Nausea, constipation, heartburn, sore breasts, constant hunger, always tired and bloating. Today I have a headache and my shoulder muscle hurts. Probably from falling asleep on the couch on Sunday. Kinked my neck. I feel asleep at my desk today at work. lol
I'm 8 weeks along..I'm hoping the 2nd trimester is better.

Hugs to you also, it's amazing I told my husband after my daughter was born, never ever again, but somehow amnesia set in and I wanted another baby LOL - I'm even telling him now that when I get the brillant idea in the future I want another baby, remind me how much I dislike pregnancy ha ha ha

Re: Anyone feel as bad as I do?
My mom told me that when she was pregnant with my lil brother she had severe headaches. she went to the doctor and the doctor adjusted her neck and the headaches went away. maybe you could look into some adjustment or something of that sort. it's worth a shot!

Oh yeah - me too!
I am about same as you - 10 weeks
I throw up 6 times a day which I beleive that is what brings on the headaches.
Best of luck. We are almost out of the 1sr tri - thank goodness.

Re: Anyone feel as bad as I do?
Im 17 weeks and its still not over for me, however I do feel better but Im still getting nauseous and throwing up, still getting headaches, the heartburn is worse and Im still hungry but doesnt seem as much which is good cuz that was really difficult. My emotions are off the wall and Im definitely showing, Ive gained 9lbs since I got pregnant and I feel like a pig. Oh and my bf of a year and a half left me after we found out I was pregnant so Ive been doing this alone and its been super hard and he has continued to put an emotional stress on me because he keeps changing his mind on the baby and us and its just getting to be too much especially since I still love him....

Re: Anyone feel as bad as I do?
For some reason, I stopped getting headaches when I got pregnant, but I suffered with incurable migraines my whole life. I have seen neurologists, and taken all sorts of meds for them, no dice. (BTW- if pregnancy is the cure for my migraines- as it has been so far, I am going to have many children!)
I can give you advice to help you ease the pain of headaches without meds, as you can't take them anyways when pregnant.
Some of these things worked for me:
Cold compress on the forehead and neck at the same time for 15 min on and off
Yoga/ meditation
Exercise (a brisk walk for 20-30 min usually gets the blood flowing- it only worked to relieve symptoms for the duration of the walk 1/2 of the time)
Carbs- potatoes and pasta helped sometimes
Magnesium- although check w. Dr.
Vitamin B2- same as above
Fish oil- same as above
Go to a chiropractor- I got relief after getting C1 and C2 adjusted
As for the nausea- I got it too for 7 weeks in the 1st trimester. It usually goes away- even though you might not think that now. Try to eat a little bit all day, the more you eat, surprisingly, the better you might feel. I was always sick before mealtime- when I was hungry.
Good luck
