i am assuming it's been about 4 weeks since the first day of your last period. Since that's when you start counting, you'd be 4 weeks (but yes only physically conceived for 2). So yes, it's very possible to get a positive test at 2 (4) weeks.

My last period was 10/17. I was with my boyfriend from 10/24-11/2. We're living in different states due to a recent job change so if I am pregnant, between those days is the only poss. time I could've conceived. I was looking online at an ovulation calculator and it said the 24th-28th were my most fertile days and if I did get pregnant on those days that I could try a HPT on 11/8 which I did. It just seems too soon to be able to show up accurate but I took 3

Congrats. By your LMP you'd be almost 4 weeks. Your math is correct. I hope this is all good news for you

LoL thanks it is good news.. I' m just kind of confused about all of this. I'm ignorant to all this ovulation cycle stuff lol. I could've only gotten pregnant about 2 1/2 weeks ago so how does that make me 4 weeks? LoL I'm sorry like I said I'm just nervous and confused lol. Thanks so much for responding!

Because they calculate gestational age based on your last period. SO....technically you were not ACTUALLY pregnant for 2 of the 4 weeks....you conceived 2 weeks ago but you cycle was 2 weeks prior to that...making you 4 weeks along.

Question Re: 2 weeks???

Hey thanks for the responses. I went to the Dr's today and they confirmed the pregnancy. Though I am confused still lol. They told me I'm approx. 8-10 weeks. They did an exam and got that estimate by feeling my uterus. There's NO way I could be that far along. My boyfriend lives in Florida and it's either I got pregnant on my August (first week) visit or this October visit. Could they be that off? I'm heavy set so she said maybe they couldn't get a good feel for it and she even mentioned chance of twins. Has anyone else gotten a first estimate this off before? Thanks in advance! Oh yeah.. When I looked on the internet and put in all my info for a "due date estimator" they gave me the same date the Dr. gave me today. Only difference is my calculations would be 4 weeks instead of 8. I'm very confused lol sorry.

Last period started 10/17
Visited my BF 10/23-11/02 (conceived)
Pos. result on 11/08 it was a very faint pos. You could barely see it.

so either
A) your weight is preventing an accurate "feel" and you're really just 4 weeks no weirdness involved.
B) your uterus might be enlarged because of fibroids - which are super common in 30+ women (you didn't mention how old you are so I'm throwing that out there). Not only are they super common but they're super benign and 90% cause no problems with or without pregnancy.
C) you have twins
D) You are quite a bit further along than you think you are.

Usually it's option A followed closely by option B. C & D are less common but possible. I sure hope they scheduled you for a dating ultrasound with this possible discrepancy.

I'm 25 and my next appointment isn't until Dec 4th. I'm guessing it's either A or C because I CAN'T be further along than that lol.. I'm just shocked my next appointment is so far away. Is that normal?? Don't mind me ladies this is my first child and first pregnancy so I'll be questioning A LOT lol!! Thanks for everything!
