I'd say baby boomers, why....because it was after WWII and the USA was on top and there were jobs and opportunity for many. New music and the CAR...the life style of the road and freedom .....GX had some good times, but not near the opportunity of BB........besides things were CHEAP back in the day......

I think baby boomers. They had more stability and the economy was booming too.
As a Gen Xer myself and seeing how my siblings and friends grew up, baby boomers were pretty selfish parents..we were all latch key kids, children of divorce and had parents who couldn't see past thier own wants and needs. They thought they could just leave money on the table for the week, and buy our love with gifts, without being around.
I often think about the crazy stuff I did, and how much we were alone and dangerous situations we were in, and I think "where the hell were our parents?" crazy
Most Gen Xer grew up angry and depressed, alot of drug and alcohol abuse too.
The good thing that came of that was good music, good movies.. rebellion against the expensive crap our parents bought us, and useless spending..the ability to see what was really important in life.
Most Gen Xers I know who have had time to grow up, make wonderful parents because they make a more conscious effort to do everything opposite that thier parents did!haha

I couldn't have said it better myself. As a result we vow to spend more time with our kids and our mothers wonder why their college educated daughters opt to become stay-at-home moms. It's because it's all we ever wanted.
