Is it normal? My son is seven months old and exclusively breastfed. I haven't had a normal period yet and so have stopped taking my birth control as it has interfered with how much milk I'm making.

Any experiences with how long it took for fertility to return? I'm just wondering how careful I should be... My doctor said it's very possible I could get pregnant again, but so far no surprises since I've stopped the pill (two months now). Obviously it's not a huge worry or I'd be using some other form of protection. Just curious.

It can certainly happen. The idea is if you exclusively breastfeed, then your period won't return, and you would be unable to get pregnant. However, I've heard of too many moms that have gotten pregnant while breastfeeding.
