months pregnant? I know it has to do something with HCG levels...and I heard that a few months into the pregnancy the amount of HCG may be too low or too high or something and may not register on the pregnancy test. How late is too late to take an at home test?

usually it can be easily detected by 6 weeks but the further along you are after that the higher the leverls are so it should be accurate.

my mom was 5 months preg when she found out she was preg with my little brother . she had her tubes tied but something happened and she got preg . she went to her doctor and she did lots of test cuz my mom didnt have her period and it was 5 months. she took a pregnancy test and she was preg .

My friend took one at 6 months and it turned positive straight away- she has no idea she was that far along though!

No dont worry it will still say positive. When I toke my test I was about 3 months and it said positive.

Never too late to take a hpt. Definitely should be accurate if you're 4 months.
