If you think you may be pregnant but the home test isn't coming up so, go to your doctor and they'll send you for a blood and urine test, which will be screened at the hospital.
Where I live you get the results next day, this doesn't take long!

This is actually Incorrect. You can in fact get a FALSE positive pregnancy test. Its called Phantom pregnancy, or pseudocyesis spurious. It is similar to a mental illness, but not generally treated like one. It happens if the body wants to become pregnant but is not, which sends messages to the brain creating pregnancy symptoms, positive pregnancy tests, but no fetus. It is not uncommon, but also does not happen every day.
In my personal experiences, it took 3 months to get a positive pregnancy test. No home tests worked, nor did urine tests at the clinic. Eventually we got a positive, I was infact 3 months pregnant. I am currently due in december.
