If it's before a missed period and you're testing to see if you're pregnant then, yes, you could be pregnant and not know it yet. Home pregnancy tests are very effective, even the cheap ones.

yes, sometimes women dont really have a high level of the hormone that the home tests test for. going to see a doctor should give you 100% accurate results.

Yes. There can be false negatives when using a home pregnancy test ( test says false even if you're pregnant) but there can not be false positives, ( meaning that if it says you're pregnant you are pregnant).

If you think you may be pregnant but the home test isn't coming up so, go to your doctor and they'll send you for a blood and urine test, which will be screened at the hospital.

WHen i found out i was pregnant with my son....about 2 years ago...i did get a false negative on a home pregnancy test. It could be the test that you used because I tried the First Responce early pregnancy test...twice...and both came up negative....then i took one Clear Blue easy Digital test and within thirty seconds it came back positive....i would try the clear blue test before calling the doctor...or you could find a free clinic near you and get a free pregnancy test there.

hi. i just missed my period last month and i took 2 ept tests, both came out negative and so did my pee test so I have an appointment on base tomorrow to talk to my doctor and get a blood test. is that even possible to have all 3 come out negative and possibly be pregnant?

None of my hpt's came out positive until like 7 days after my missed period, I took a First Responce Gold one & it came back positive after 7 days.. then I went to the doctors about a week later for a test so they can give me a piece of paper & even their test had a very faint line still.. Everyones different.

i think it can be related to how diluted your urine is sometimes. if you drink a lot of fluids your hormone levels won't be as detectable. that's why they recommend morning pee because it has been longer than 4 hours since the last pee, usually. i know a lot of women who didn't get positive hpt until a week or more late.
