A very faint, thin line on pregnancy test? Fact Plus.?
Since I have irregular periods, and my hubby and I have been trying for over a year (docs have found nothing wrong with me, just not having periods is all), I take a pregnancy test once a month to ensure that I'm not pregnant. Well, this morning, I took a test (Fact Plus), and it did the thing where the control showed, and all that, and the horizontal line. Within a minute, there was a very faint, thin line that showed vertically. The whole test is the dye blue, and this vertical line is blue. But it's as thin as a thread.
Evaporation line? Or something else?
Trying not to get my hopes up. hah. Oh and the test is + means pregnant, and - is negative. So I basically had a +, but the vertical line was just so faint and thin.
I was just looking at some thread I have, maybe thinner than that. hah. It's a very fine line.

I talked to my OB today, because I had the same thing. She said that any line, no matter how faint would be a positive read on the pregnancy test. Said to use the first morning urine or wait a week if I was just curious. But anything that resembles your positive mark, no matter how faint, is a positive. That you are JUST pregnant, she figured me right at 4 wks, so congrats!!!

I don't think the evaporation line shows up that soon. If the line showed up within a minute (no matter how faint it was) then you are more than likely pregnant. A line is a line. Mine was like that. It was so faint, that you literally had to tilt it and hold it up to the light to see the line, but it was there, and so was my son. But, take another one in a couple of days to make sure...and then call your doctor. Good luck!

In my experience, a positive is a positive. Whether it's faint or not if a line is there, you're pregnant. I'd wait a few days and test again. You don't have to break the bank buying tests either. The dollar store sells them and they are the same as all the others, just packaged differently. Good luck!

That happened with my second. I called the Dr. office and told them and she said,"Well, then you are pregnant! The test picks up on the pregnancy hormone in your urine, let's schedule your first pre-natal visit." Her exact words.
Congratulations,
D

With my second pregnancy, I used a First Response home pregnancy test, and the line that was a positive was extremely faint. I believed it, however, just to make sure, I took a second test, and the line on that one was a little darker. Take another test in the morning, you'll probably get better results, and if you are still questioning, see a doctor.

I had a test that looked like that about a year and a half ago, and now I have a 10 month old.

I have heard that no matter how faint the line is...if it is there then it is positive...you can wait a week for your HCG levels to perhaps go up and then the line may be darker for you....or there may be no line (then you will know it was a faulty test)...
