Its actually very easy and cool, you just have to be careful not to check it too often so you don't irritate it. Also you shouldn't have long/sharp fingernails or you might poke yourself and that wouldn't feel too good. Its pretty amazing to feel the changes it goes through.

Re: Pimple on Cervix
I have never tried to touch my cervix either, but I can speak to 'pimples' on it...here's a funny/embarrassing story....
When we decided back in the fall that we were going to starting ttc'ing in the winter, obviously I knew I needed to get all of my check-ups in line, etc. I HATE the gynecologist. Like, serious phobia. I literally had not been in like 3 years because the very thought of having to go through a pelvic exam made me want to cry. I know, I know, what did I think was going to happen when I got pregnant...believe me, the thought of going through labor and having all of those people see me...also brings me to tears!
Anyhow, I finally found a practice and made an appt. to get an annual check-up. I was so upset the day of the appt. I cried and threw up before I went to the office. I go in and the midwife was very nice, but I still hated it. Up in the stirrups I go and there I am all spread-eagled and trying so hard not to cry and just feeling disgusting...and the midwife is chatting away while doing the exam. Then she says "Wow, you have QUITE the cyst on your cervix!" I freaked. What in the heck does THAT mean!?!?! Are you saying I have an STD? WHAT????? She quickly calmed me down and said that no, these were not STDs, not contagious, not warts...just normal cysts that can grow and decrease, show up and go away, and they usually don't interrupt anything and are totally fine. But mine apparently was the largest she had ever seen, so if I didn't mind, she wanted the OB to come in and double-check just to make sure it was what the midwife thought it was.
I'm dying now. You mean I have to keep my legs open for even longer and have ANOTHER person look at my speculum-enlarged vag? But what was I going to do...obviously I too wanted to make sure that this very large cyst was indeed of the normal variety. So, midwife leaves the room and comes back with the OB and the OB takes a quick look and says "Oh yeah, totally normal...big, but totally normal."
I was quite relieved, but by that point was WAY past the point of being ready to be done with this whole darn exam and I practically took the speculum out myself in my hurry to get my legs closed and off of that table.

LOL! Its like you are the star attraction for the day I'm glad I'm not the only one who has had this. I never even have heard of it! When I felt it and wanted to look it up online I didn't even know what to call it. All I knew is that if seriously felt like a pimple that you would get on your face only it was on my cervix. You learn something new everyday!!!!

Re: Pimple on Cervix
You know I have had my share of hating GYN's. I went to my local womens health clinic because pf pain while urinating and white discharge. As I sat on the table waiting I thought "Please God get me through this." The woman came in and told me to schooch down. She put the light on my vagina and as it was warming me she said "OMG you have Herpes!!" I started to cry. I had been so careful my entire sex life and now it was over. Then she said "Oh this is bad it's gross!" Yep and so am I, I thought. She said hold still because the infection was so bad she couldn't get a speculum in me, so she was going to scrap as much of the outside as she could. It hurt. I was never having sex again. She told me there would be bleeding told me to get dressed and they would send out for the test to be sure. I asked her if she was positive thats what it was. She said she would bet her license on it. A week, tons of tear, millions of unanswered phone calls from Mom, and a gallon or two of ice cream and chocolate later I got the phone call.
The woman on the other end was so perky I wanted t reach though the phone and slap the rap out of her. "Well Ms. we have your results back and it looks like it was unidentified as herpes." What the hell does that mean. "Ok," I answered back "What now." Has the infection went away?"Damn perky voice of hers was getting on my nerves. "Yes. but..." "Then test in another year or if you get symptoms again...have a nice day." Click. Buzzzz. WTF I asked some nursing friends what they were saying and it turns out that lady who thought I was gross owes me her license. I talked to, reluctantly, many GYN's and they said that it was probably a yeast infection that was taken care of when I got on Antibiotics for a cold I had. I din't have sex again till I met DH 4 years later. I didn't have symptoms so never went back to the GYN until I was pregnant and to this day have never had a positive papsmear, or any other complications down there. But boy am I supper psychologically F'ed up about getting checked every year.
