What a delightful generalization about teen mothers. I bet your mommy had you at 16.

Yes, all teenage girls should be required to take birth control pills or have a norplant that lasts about 5 years. A lot of girls get that. That takes you all the way through high school.
Usually the way it works in High School the parents say my little sussie is a good girl and would never do that. those are the ones who get pregnant the other parents know better and their kids are on the pill.
Then their parents cry and scream and the ones who are the most vocal against abortion gets their kid one. Telling her not to tell anyone she is now on the pill and had an abortion.
Before she has it everyone knows about it except the parents.
Who believes it is the worlds best kept secret.
Why are parents so totally in the dark about stuff?

It wouldn't be right to force them to take birth control because of the health risks. What most of them need is education. And we should stop paying them to take care of their own children. If they can't support their children, past the first one (who could have been an accident) we should take them away, we're supporting them anyway but we should not be supporting the parents. What we need is public aid laws that require them to be in school, or work to collect any help.

Teens should be educated to abstain from sex- it used to work pretty darn well. Modern sex ed has resulted in MORE teens (especially girls) having sex- not good. Touchy feely ideals sound nice but deliver poor results.

Love the nookie but kids should be taught to wait

First off. do you have a teen daughter? will you be ok if someone told you to put her on the pill when she was,, lets say 14 or 15? Thats a really hard question, I mean you cant just walk in one day and assume that every teen is having sex therefore should take pills. Think how many people you would be insulting. Education is the only way to prevent that. You educate kids, they will educate their kids and so forth. Nothing is done overnight. Even making teens take pills, it will take many years before you can actually see any results. And by doing that you re apening doors for more deseases. Because nowadays a % are having sex, by providing the pill, you are pretty much saying, "go ahead its ok now" you ll still be investing money in teaching how to use it and all. And dont forget that nothing is 100% garantee so there still be prengancies.
