Default bouncy thing

I posted these on FB and a friend of mine asked if it was safe for hunters age (3months) He has really good head control. I was under the impression that all he needed was head control, she seemed to think he needed to be able to sit on his own. Am I endangering my little guy? He fits well ... but now i'm concerned about his back.

heres the pic, (cause i'm a sucker and love posting pictures)

Hmm...I'm not sure what the "experts" would say, but we put DD in her jumper around 4 months before she could sit up on her own. We just made sure to watch her at that point. I think the head control part is key though. Perhaps if they can't sit up on their own they lack tummy muscles to be able to stay straight & the concern is flopping around too much? But I'd think the jumper would be able to cushion that. DD is 7 months & even flops around a bit, but she's well supported so it's not an issue.

For now I would just keep an eye on him & observe how he does. If you need to, you can always stuff a fluffy blanket in there for extra support. But personally I think he'll probably be okay.

we put the girls in theirs at like 3 or 4 months once they had head control and like melowe said we put blankies around them in the seat for additional support.
