So...my last period was 2/15/08. My fiance and I had a positive pregnancy test on March 19....and again 2 wks after that. According to my calculations, I would have ovulated anytime between 2/28 and 3/2....With that, I figured I was already 10-11 wks pregnant. I went to the ER saturday bc of menstual type bleeding. they did an ultrasound and said the sac was at 5 wks 6days and to follow up w/ my doctor monday. Today i didnt bleed throughout most of the day and then it started back up again. did i miscalculate somewhere?? or is it that the embryo stopped growing and now im in the process of a miscarriage?? This is my 1st pregnancy and am totally confused.
any advice will help. Thanks!

Just based on your LMP dates, pregnancy test dates PLUS your symptoms I gotta admit it sounds suspicious for a miscarriage. Your doc will be able to do a follow up ultrasound and/or blood work to see which way things are swinging.

Your dates match mine almost exactly. LMP 2/15... positive test on 3/2... I am currently 11w4d pregnant... it's odd that they say the sac only measures as if you were 5 w 6d. It sounds to me like it could be a good possibility that it might be a miscarriage.

K...just got back from the doctors office. Apparently everything looks fine. I'm a little over 6 wks pregnant. I questioned why I wasnt the 11wks I thought I was....apparently I ovulated really late and the pregnancy test picked up SUPER early. Anyway, I was still advised to take it easy and be extra-aware of my body and I have another appointment in 2 weeks....we shall see. For now, my mind is half at ease.

aw! yay! our bodies can really fool us sometimes... thats great I hope everything continues to go smooth.

I miscarried yesterday morning. Now i know why my mind was only at half ease. I still knew something was wrong. I believe I'm coping well...but still find myself at times during the day crying and thinking about what the future will hold for my fiance and I. I've been heartbroken by guys, hurt by family and friends, but none of that pain compared to the loss of my child. I know God has my baby....that's one of the only things that comforts me =)

I'm sorry to hear it...and here I was about to tell you that those early ultrasounds aren't always accurate. There was no way you were only 6 weeks going by what you said. Good luck on getting pregnant again, if that is what you decide you want.

I'm so sorry to hear about your miscarriage I had one last November. It does hurt very badly. I know I cried for a long time and hurt. But try not to let it get you down. I'm currently 7 weeks now (I mc at 5 weeks last time). I know it's hard by try to keep your hopes up.

This just happened to me. I went once for an ultrasound at what should have been 7 weeks, saw fetal pole and a normal sac an then yesterday with no advancement. I should have been 8 weeks and there was no heartbeat. Just had a d&c this morning. Im doing well. Im 28 and it was my first pregnancy too. I guess it wasnt time yet. Good luck...If u need a d&c i can tell you that mine was cake...

I am so Sorry to hear about your loss ..You and me are in a same Boat. My LMP was 28th April..I took my Pregnancy test in my 6 weeks and turn out to be Positive..I was so happy. I went to see a Gynae in my 9th wk ( May be I should have gone earlier) they did a Ultrascan and found out the baby is only 5.4 wks yolk sac visble with fetal pole and no heart beat..CRL measured 2MM...4 wks behind not possible at all ..Still I said myself the test kit might be wrong and doctor told me that I could have had a late ovulution and asked me to come back after 2 wks for another scan...I went last thursday..I dont know why I went there to hear a bad news!!! they told me there is no growth in the fetus, it remained same length 2MM ...I couldnt stop crying... Next day I was scheduled for a D & E ...When I went there what shocked me was there was some ppl who came there just to kill their little angels...
Worst thing of all I conceived after 2 yrs TTC...

After visiting this site I know I'm not alone...I would like to tell all who lost thier little ones..dont give up dear..We lost it b'coz god wanted to give us healthier baby..Pity the baby we lost is not healthy to survive that long... Pray to God regularly..Dont give up dear
