Default False Implantation??? Or Miscarriage???

Hi. I'm 18. My fiancee and I thought I was pregnant last week and we were both really excited. I had all the signs an everything. But then I went to the ER for a headache that wouldn't go away and when I told the damn Dr. that I was having cramps he started pressing down on my stomach and asking me if it hurt. Note: I had taken a pregnancy test twice and it came back negative. I know it was stupid of me to tell him about my cramps, but they really hurt! And I wanted to know what was going on because not only did I have cramps but I was late by like three days and I'm never late! Anyway, I got home after my visit and went to bed. The next day I started bleeding and became really upset. I want a baby so bad! Can you have a miscarriage very early on in pregnancy? Or was this just like a false implantation?

You had all the signs except for a positive pregnancy test? You probably were not pregnant, but just started 3 days late.

You probably were not pregnant.

I had a baby at age 17 - I thought it was what I really wanted too. Now at age 28 I realize that there was so much to do and experience first.
I cheated myself out of an education, wild parties, a beautiful body, etc...

The guy? Well - he is long gone now....... Love doesn't just last like you think.

I love my daughter, she is a total joy to be around. However, you should consider the possiblity of what you will be missing out of in the long run. Are you prepared to be a single mom if it doesnt work out between you and the dad in the long run?

These are very serious things to consider. Once you have a baby, you will have to work for the rest of your life. Do you have an education that will guarentee you more then $10.00 an hour? If not, you had better wait.

Whether or not you were pregnant is not the issue. Your question was whether a miscarriage could happen early in pregnancy.
Most miscarriages do actually happen before a woman knows she is pregnant. However, the doctor pressing on your abdomen would not cause a miscarriage. If you were having cramps before then and they're not normal for you, you MAY have been miscarrying at the time.
Please seriously consider the fact that a baby is a lifetime commitment. As someone else pointed out, it is life changing. Though it may not ruin your life per say, it will hinder the things you can do.

I agree, probably not pregnant, just hopeful. It will happen when you are relaxed and your body is ready. I have had a miscarriage and it is better if its really early on. May you be blessed on your future plannings.

I agree with everyone who replied. They hit the nail right on the head. And yes, you can miscarry without knowing you are pregnant however, you said you were only 3 days late and the tests were negative so therefore you were not pregnant.

As for the single mom comments, it's true. I am in my 30's, have a GREAT job on SALARY WITH good health insurance and it's STILL going to be hard with lots of adjustments. I can't imagine how hard it would be for an 18 yr old who could be in a worse situation than I. Please wait to have a child because I will barely be able to make it as a single mom and unfortunately, I make a TAD too much to get any help from the state.
