Default No veggies

I hate green veggies. I eat corn and potatos and that's it. I have tried them, I don't like them. Fresh, cooked, any way you want to prepare them I'm not a fan. I'm also 30 weeks pregnant. I'm afraid I'm going to pass on my veggie dislike to my baby, because I've heard that the baby can taste things thru the amniotic fluid now. What if she never gets to taste peas and then doesn't like them later on? My mother will eat anything and did so while prenant with me, and she said I ate whatever she fed me when I was a baby. It wasn't until I was 4 or 5 that I began to refuse things. My boyfriend is also very concerned that my eating habits will affect the baby.
I take my prenatal, I get lots of fruits, plenty of dairy, I eat lots of chicken (only a little red meat); I am almost perfectly balanced, just without the veggies.
I had an ultrasound at 29 weeks and they said the baby was 2lb 12oz, which is in the 51% for her gestational age, which means I must be doing something right, right? My question is am I running the risk of having another picky eater, or am I paranoid?

I honestly Have no idea, I'm a first time pregger haha. But I would think it wouldn't matter until the baby was old enough to start eating on hi/her own just make sure during that time you dont let the baby know what foods you dislike so he/she can make their own decision without basing it on mommy.

i know you said you've tried all kinds of preparations, but I've heard your tastes change as your pregnant anyway (I'm only 14 weeks, but i have have had a way strong craving for lemonade, which I hated before). Maybe you could try again, with just small amounts in other dishes (like a cream of asparagus soup or something... that's mostly milk and butter anyway).

regardless, i don't think it will turn your baby off to veggies later on, seeing as how a lot of kids hate green veggies anyway, even if their parents love them!

good luck

I also had hardly any veggies during my pregancy, not by choice but because of my location. There simply weren't any veggies in the desert. I made up for it by consuming fruit, nuts, bottled olives and loads of the basics like garlic, tomatoes and onions. I also took my vitamin supplements religiously. My baby is not only very healthy but very happy. She hardly ever cries.

My sister in law only eats corn and potatoes as vegetable too! Not even salads. She had two very healthy babies (one a veggie hater, one a veggie lover) I know several corn and potato eaters!haha They're both pictures of health. So weird. I eat anything green and little meat.
I've come to the conclusion that all people are just made different. What may be fuel to me doesn't work for another. Your makeup just may not require greens like some people do. I think that if something doesn't taste right to you, there's a reason for it, and for whatever reason that is, you don't need it.

I used to get picked apart for not eating meat or dairy. I would spit it out, tasted disgusting. I would be told, I'd be unhealthy whatever. Anytime I'd even get the sniffles my stepmom would blame it on not eating right! Turns out 15 years later I was diagnosed with a rare disease and told I'd have to have a basically no meat diet the rest of my life. No butter or cheese, no animal fat, alot of soy and three times the amount of fish omegas and oils from olives and nuts than the average diet. My body already knew that for years!
