Pinpointing Fertile Days (possibly a strange question)

This question might make some people laugh, but I'm going to ask it, anyway.

My husband and I are trying to get pregnant. After five and a half years on the pill, I finally stopped taking it three months ago. I know it can take time to get pregnant after coming off the pill, and, right now, I'm holding my breath to see if my period comes on time.

That having been said, here's my strange question:

Assuming that both partners have no issues with infertility, and are able to pinpoint their fertile days precisely, is conception guaranteed, or is it still a hit-and-miss situation? In other words, is it still possible to not get pregnant, even though you've done everything exactly right?

My husband and I decided in July of 2007 that we wanted a baby of our own. I had my iud removed in the middle of July of that year. Up until just a couple of months ago we always had sex everyday. It's just something we normally did even before we were trying to conceive. With that being said we didn't conceive until December of 2007. So yes it is a hit or miss thing. Good luck!

yes u cn have intercourse on the exact day u ovulate but wont get pregnant!!! i wish you luck!! lots of baby dust!!

Some many things have to line up just right to get pregnant. It took us 7 months. We thought if we did it every other day we would get pg but nope. It takes time and patience. I think that even if you do everything right you only have like a 25% chance each month. Good luck though.
