I am a 23 year old female and I am concerned that I could be pregnant. I am currently taking birth control and have been since I was 15. My boyfriend and I have had unprotected sex consistently because I am on birth control. Our last sexual encounter was during the week of June 22. My period is overdue and I should have had it starting July 14. I have always had regular periods because of the birth control and I have never missed a period. Some months I have only spotting but I haven't even had that this month. Should I see a doctor? Could I be pregnant or is my missed period possibly stress?

have you tried a home pregnancy test yet?

I took a home pregnancy test a couple of days ago and it was negative.

Maybe give it a couple more days, and try with your morning urine?

I am having the same problem! I'm on bc and don't use any other protection with my bf either. My period was due on July 2nd and it STILL hasn't come. Since the 9th I've had cramping, watery discharge, I have to pee ALL the time, I'm starving even if I just ate and if I don't eat right away I get really nauseous and can't eat at all. The last 4 days my breasts have been getting more and more sore. Oh and I've been bloated and gassy (ugh!).

I took 4 HPTs and ALL have been negative, I even went to the dr and she did a urine test that was neg as well. That was on the 16th. At that point my dr. said I wasn't pregnant, just "nauseous for no reason". She did say to call her if the symptoms continue.

I decided to wait until I miss another period before I go back because she obviously thought I was just stressing myself out. I should start my period in 6 days.

That probably doesn't help you out much. The only way to know for sure is to have the Dr. do a blood test. You know your body and you know when something is not right.

I will keep you posted on the status of my period next week. Let me know if you find out anything too.

well those are all the symptoms i have and i am prego...I hope eveything works out for you. Wait a few more days and take another test i find the early respons ones are good

okay, wow. I have all the same symptoms-- and with birth control have been VERY regular and i also should have had my period on July 2nd and did not!

Two HPT's have been negative. No insurance so no doctor yet but definitely stressing out!

Well, try not to stress out. I know it's not easy. I try to distract myself and stay busy, every once in a while I will still have a wave of nausea or cramping. At night my boobs hurt really bad, my nipples almost feel tingly/burning. I've had a bit of spotting here and there and every time I think it's my period starting, but nope.

I have continued to take my birth control and will start the filler pills on wednesday. I have ALWAYS started my period 2 days before the filler pills, but If I don't have my period by friday I am going back to the Dr and demanding a blood test or ultrasound.

So still no sign of my period. I have an appointment with my ob/gyn on the
12th. That is the week my next period should start so we will see.

well I caved. I was going to wait until I'd missed my entire AF "window" to call the dr, but I'm 3 days late and this is my second missed period.

I woke up sunday night with pretty bad cramping (I usually get really strong cramping the first and second day of my period), so I ran to the bathroom and there was nothing there. I have been having the cramps off and on since then and all I've had is some brown discharge that I only see when I wipe (sorry, gross). I can't imagine why I would be having this cramping with no period, not to mention my boobs are still sore and there are certain foods that just make my stomach turn (all I want to eat is cereal!).

I should hear back from the Dr. tomorrow, after 8 weeks of "what ifs" I just want to find out what's wrong.

I will keep everyone posted...maybe there's hope for us!
