I really thought I was pregnant this month, but I took a test a week ago and it was negative. I was relieved when I got my period a couple of days ago, but it only lasted one day and was really dark in color. The past few days whenever I get up and have breakfast, no more than 10 minutes into eating I feel horribly nauseous and have to run to the bathroom and usually get diarrhea. I thought maybe I was just lactose intolerant or something. Today my stomach has felt rumbly and like pulsating. It's not really painful but just feels really weird. I DID take another test but it came out negative. Today makes 3 days since my period should have started (Which like I said, i thought it did). My question is, what's the latest you've ever heard of someone finally getting a positive? Like how far along were they getting false negatives? I'm going to try to go to the doctor on Monday (I have to work the next several days and can't go until then) but I was just wondering, if I were to be pregnant, how long is it possible to get false negatives for? Thank you!

Just so everyone knows, I'm not asking if I could be pregnant. I just wanted to know the latest into a pregnancy you've heard of a woman getting (or you've gotten) a false negative.

Well my friend, lets just call her Nikki, was getting false negatives until she was an amazing 16 weeks along (4 mo.) it actually took the doctor to do a blood drawn preg. test and ultrasound to confirm the pregnancy. How long has this been going on for now? days, weeks, months? And perhaps your just haveing some strong hormone changes. anything is possible. How old are you? That may have something to do with it. Unlike myself I knew right away, im so in tune with my body that as soon as something didnt feel right I took a test immediatly, and sure enough it was possitive and now i am into my 14th week of pregnancy.

This has been going on for several days now, almost a week. I'm 23, so I hope my health isn't failing me yet lol. Oh, and I've been off bc pills for almost a year now, so I doubt it's that.

When I was pregnant with my daughter, I had skipped 2 periods so I decided to take a pregnancy test. I took at test at 3 and 5 weeks, both of which were negative and then I took one again at 6 weeks and I finally got a positive result. Everyone is different. I've known people who knew right away that they were pregnant. I didn't "feel" pregnant, other than the fact that I had to use the bathroom frequently, but nothing else was different. Hope this helps.

Just an update.. Well I went to the Doctor about a week ago because I still have been getting sick in the mornings. I tried switching to granola bars for breakfast but had to vomit after that. I didn't vomit up the food though... it was a yellow liquid. Well the Doctor did a urine test (but I didn't think I was pregnant and didn't think I'd have to do one so I used the bathroom before I got there) so I couldn't pee much at all... barely covered the bottom of the cup. Anyway they said the test was negative, which surprised her, but she didn't run any other tests to see what else could be making me sick in the mornings. She just said to come back in 2 weeks if I didn't get my period. Well, now for the past couple of days my nipples have been really really sore. I've been extremely tired... I slept like 10 hours last night, I normally only sleep 7. But I've been really tired and yawning all day. I think maybe I'm just mentally causing the symptoms myself though b/c the urine test at the Doctor was taken on sept. 5th, and my period was due august 25th at the latest. I don't know, but I bought a couple of home tests to try later this week. Otherwise, my period should come between Sept. 22-25th I think.

I actually went my whole pregnancy without hcg in my urine. I knew i was pregnant after i missed 2 of my cycles, i took a home pregnancy test and it came back negative. I made a doctors appointment a couple of weeks later, urinalysis came back negative a second time. The dr said he would give me a blood test to ease my mind, to his surprise it came back positive. I was already around 10 wks. I decided to do a home pregnancy test @ 8 months for fun, according to it i wasn't pregnant even though i was about to give birth in a few wks. So have your dr to do a blood test.

Well I took one of those EPT tests that should show a + for pregnant or a - for not pregnant. I got the horizontal line, but then 2 small vertical dots... Could that just be the evaporation line I've heard of? I tried to take a picture but I only have my crappy cell phone camera and it doesn't show up on there. The test was a 3 pack, and it has 1 digital test in it too. I'll try to take another test tomorrow maybe.

Take the test first thing in the morning and read all the directions! I know it sounds stupid, but I didn't know that you needed to wait a whole 10 minutes for the one i took. I saw the negative show up immediately and just threw it away.

Well, I tested with another EPT +/- test yesterday and it did the same thing with the horizontal line and small vertical dots instead of the full +. Very confusing, but I also had a digital EPT test left that came in the pack and I did that one today and it was a very clear "Not Pregnant". However, if I got pregnant this month it might be premature to test because I'm not due to start my period until the 22nd. So the earliest I should probably be testing is the 20th, which unfortunately the in-laws are visiting so I won't be testing again until Monday probably if I still haven't gotten my period. My nipples are still really sore and I'm staying exhausted. I just don't want to get out of bed. I am also still getting nauseous when I eat in the morning. A friend suggested I try keeping some saltines and water by my bed and having a couple of those before I even get out of bed. I might try that. Anyway, the Doctor that did the urine test a week and a half ago did tell me to come back in 2 weeks if I didn't get my period, so I'll be due to go back there next week anyway.
