Hi Everyone
Hi Everyone,
My name is Kelly, I am 35 yrs old, married to a wonderful Coastie. I am a stepmom to twins (9). I have had 3 miscarriages in 9 mths, the most recent miscarriage happening on 6/26/08. I have been trying to get pregnant for over a year and a half, w/a year in fertility treatments. We were taking time off from the last miscarriage, when.. I got pregnant again.
From the initial blood tests (as there were two) and the initial u/s, I am pregnant w/a very likely viable pregnancy. We are very excited and can not wait!
We are 6 weeks on Sunday.
HI!

Re: Hi Everyone
My mom had gotten pregnant with no troubles with my sister and my brother. Then she had 3 miscarriages pretty close in a row. My parents decided to try one more time and there I was. So the 4th time was a charm for her and hopefully it will be for you too. Good luck!

Re: Hi Everyone
Thank you so much, both of you. Its been a long and hard year and 8 mths. I go tomorrow for another u/s and more blood work to determine if things are progressing nicely.
I feel like crap on a daily basis and have been sick on 2 different occassions, a week apart. I heard that being sick is a good sign.. so we shall see!!!

Re: Hi Everyone
Hi Kelly,
Congratulations to you!!
Looks like you and me are almost on the same track.
I have had a m/c last year and now I am pregnant (just discovered over the weekend). We are elated and scared at the same time.
You will be 6 weeks this Sunday and we will be six weeks this Friday.
I will pray for you and your baby along with mine
Take care,
Neha

Re: Hi Everyone
Hey...
I went for the follow up u/s and blood work, to make sure things were progressing, since I had all those m/c.
Its twins, but Baby A is strong, whereas Baby B is not. Baby A there was a heartbeat and is measuring to be 7 weeks along, and Baby B no heartbeat and measuring 5 weeks along.
I did ask if the two ovaries could ovulate at different times, whereby 1 developing ahead of the other. They were sure that if I ovulated, both eggs from different ovaries would release at the same time. I was questioning that, since my body was off from the most recent m/c in late June.
I have another appt for an u/s on 9/22 to see if one or both are progressing at the right speed.
Keeping my hopes high..
I too will keep you and your pregnancy in my prayers!

Re: Hi Everyone
wow .. that's some tough situation for you dearie. This 10 days wait would be a long one.
Whatever results you may get in your next u/s, dont worry about it. In either case it would be for the good of the baby(ies). Nature is wonderful, it takes of care of things way before we can react.
Multiple pregnanices have their own risks, only time can tell.....
Was your HCG number very high when they did your blood work? That's also another sign of multiple pregnancies.
I have had a couple of friends who got pregnant with twins as they were on fertility treatment and though they had lot of complications and all but they delivered beautiful and healthy twins.
I wish both your babies good luck....I strongly wish you better results in your next u/s.
Take care now,
Neha

Re: Hi Everyone
My HCG level was really high.. They were actually concerned it was ectopic or molar, rather than multiples.
I had been going for infertility treatment for a year. Got pregnant 2 times w/their help, both single pregnancies, both miscarried at week 8. Neither time did those pregnancies show potential.. and never found heartbeats. HCG was just way too low.
This pregnancy happened by chance, during a time we decided to take to ourselves to recoop from all the miscarriages (there were 3 in 9 mths total).. I had started WW to lose some weight I had gained from the depression I suffered w/the miscarriages.. and we booked trips.
So, not only was our pregnancy unexpected, but w/o the help of the fertility clinic the twins were REALLY unexpected.
We plan on talking to the babies and having an up beat attitude about them, that they will both make it. I have friends that are very religious and have promised to keep them in their prayers. So.. yes, 9/22 seems like forever and a day away.. but I am just going to take it one day at a time, and hope for the best.
Are you having all day sickness??? I am.. its not as bad in the am. But come noonish.. I start to feel like crap and want to puke. I have been doing the small meals through out the day, and using the protein w/carb trick the dr's office told me. She said, carbs alone wont do the trick.. get some protein in there w/the carbs. Also went to Babies r Us and got the preggie drops and pops.. those seem to work in a pinch.

Re: Hi Everyone
That's some good positive thinking you have their girl! Keep it up... I pray for you and both your babies, along with mine. They will definitely make it.
You have 9/22 to wait for and I have 9/29 ... so I am also taking one day at a time, sometimes I wish I had TIME machine whoa! My doc said there are still 15% chances of m/c as it is still very early.
You finish your 7th week this Sunday and I finish my 6th week this Saturday - so I am like a week behind you - which means all day sickness or morning sickness will follow me around starting from next week As of now I dont have any symptom - just missed periods and butterflies in my tummy sometimes.
So you hang in their dear and everything would be fine. We will emerge through these times victorious with cute babies just keep thinking of the wonderful times you have all ahead of you ....
Take care,
Neha

Re: Hi Everyone
I have no idea where this positive attitude is coming from, but I just feel like this time it will be different.
There are times that I am afraid to eat food, as I dont feel that great afterwards. Then there is drinking all the water that they suggest you drink. That too makes me ill, as it seems so heavy on my stomach.
I will keep your baby in my thoughts. It seems like forever til the 29th.. omg. too bad they cant get you in sooner. I hope that I can keep busy all next week to not keep thinking about the u/s and dr appts...
The morning sickness.. is not fun.
OH.. and I dont know about you, but I have the HARDEST time getting the vitamins down. So now I take them w/oj before bed. They seem to not get stuck in my throat then.. so last night, about an hour after going to bed, I wake up because I am starting to throw up the juice. NOT FUN!
